Visitors to Abu Dhabi are in for a treat – many treats in fact. The Wake n Bake bakery is the creation of UAE-based chef Fatima al Sayegh, who is dedicated to creating the freshest, tastiest and healthiest baked goods and dishes using only natural ingredients. No artificial additives, food colouring or preservatives go into any of the delectable offerings at the Wake n Bake restaurant.

Set beside the Mamsha Al Saadiyat promenade just off the white sands of Soul Beach, the cafe is airy, full of natural light and contemporary in design. The muted palette and curving shapes pay homage to the sand dunes of the emirate.

In its earliest avatar, the cafe focused on doughnuts, but today the Wake n Bake menu has expanded to include cakes, pastries, salads, bagels, croissants, sandwiches and different types of breads. All the baking is done fresh every morning, within the outlet. Craving a dessert?
